On a cold winter’s night, the smell of smoke has so many happy connotations. This cocktail adds a touch of drama and finesse to an old favourite.

Ingredients
45ml/1.5fl oz Royal Salute 21yo Peated Blend
15ml/0.5fl oz aromatic Scotch liqueur
1 drop of liquorice bitter
Method
Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass, add ice and stir
Smoke an empty bottle, pour the mixture in, lightly shake and pour over ice
At its best…
Served in a tumbler smoked with sandalwood. Pour over a single ice cube and garnish with sandalwood (not edible). Drink with dinner or as a nightcap on a cosy winter’s evening.
