62 Gun Salute
The Peated Reserve

Crafted to amplify the complexity of the Original Reserve,
the Royal Salute 62 Gun Salute Peated Reserve adds a spectacular
new dimension to the Gun Salute Collection.

A subtle wisp of smoke

Housed in an emerald green decanter echoing the emeralds in the Imperial State Crown of England, this remarkably powerful whisky continues the grand legacy of the 62 Gun Salute.

A distinguished blend of over 50 precious whiskies, including malts from the lost distillery of Caperdonich, The Peated Reserve was composed to evoke the drifting smoke from the gun salute cannons with its subtle smokey palate.

Tasting notes

NOSE

Initial fruity notes of dark cherries, ripe pears and sweet green apples give way to blossom honey, milk chocolate honeycomb, homemade orange marmalade and soft bonfire smoke.

PALATE

Tangy orange zest and lemon sherbet are layered upon notes of ripe peaches, Jamaican ginger cake, toasted oak and wisps of sweet peat smoke.

FINISH

A long, lively finish with enduring sweet smoke notes.

The Ultimate Honour

The 21 Gun Salute is a ceremony deeply intertwined with Royal Salute’s history, fired from the Tower of London as a mark of respect for significant royal occasions. The 62 Gun Salute, however, is only witnessed at the birth, ascension, or coronation of the Sovereign. A truly remarkable spectacle and the ultimate gesture of honour.
