Polo At Its Peak

Celebrating snow polo in St. Moritz 2024.

In January, Royal Salute returned to the spectacular mountains of St. Moritz to sponsor one of the most iconic events in the polo calendar: The Snow Polo World Cup.

As official partners of the event, Royal Salute hosted an opening ceremony in traditional fashion at the iconic Hotel Steffani, where Royal Salute’s World Polo Ambassador, Malcolm Borwick, carried out a Scottish Quaich Ceremony with the recently released 21 Year-Old Polo Jodhpur edition – the perfect aperitif to a delicious Swiss cheese fondue.

Set on the resort’s famous frozen lake, from day 1 guests were treated to a special show of polo penalty shoot-outs, witnessing incredible horsemanship from some of the sport’s most accomplished athletes. Following the professionals, guests were invited to try their hand at the sport of kings themselves, in intimate polo masterclasses with Malcolm Borwick, before heading to the VIP tent to warm up with a selection of delicious whisky cocktails.

The magic continued off the pitch for the VIP guests, who embarked on an extraordinary voyage of the senses, starting at the 2 Michelin Star restaurant Ecco St. Moritz, where they experienced the exceptional creations of Rolf Fliegauf. Each exquisite dish of the remarkable 5-course tasting menu was carefully paired with a selection of the rarest Perrier-Jouët champagnes and Royal Salute Scotch whiskies from the permanent collection. The senses were elevated even further through the pairing of the delicate aromas of bespoke essences created by Master Perfumer Barnabe Fillion.

The following evening, Malcolm Borwick invited guests to explore a selection of sensational limited edition whiskies from the coveted Polo Collection, each paired with incredible Italian cuisine at 2 Michelin Star restaurant Da Vittorio. To conclude the enchanting evening was a bespoke Royal Salute cocktail experience at The recently opened Grace Hotel, prepared by guest bartender Rhys Wilson.

The spectacular snow-capped mountains provided an enchanting backdrop to a memorable weekend of exhilarating polo and exquisite whisky.

A spectacle to behold, accompanied by the King of Whiskies
