53-YEAR-OLD

Forces of Nature
by Kate MccGwire

In the first edition of a striking new collection celebrating
the world of art, Royal Salute is proud to collaborate
with renowned British artist, Kate MccGwire.

A celebration of excellence

Forces of Nature by Kate MccGwire comprises a 53 Year Old bespoke blend, a meaningful age as Royal Salute was created in 1953, in honour of the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. Just 21 ultra-limited collectible sets have been made available worldwide.

In this striking limited edition, a rare blend of Royal Salute stands with a bespoke sculpture made of pheasant feathers. Each decanter is decorated with intricate feathers, hand engraved and hand gilded in 24 carat gold by artisans from Dartington Crystal. The sculpture and the decanter are housed together in a custom cabinet, hand-crafted from Scottish oak and lined with the finest Scottish leather.

PALATE

An initial explosion of fruit, namely fresh strawberries, dark cherries, and soft red apples, is followed by dark chocolate, lavish toffee, candied walnuts, marzipan and sweet toasted oak.

FINISH

Rich and long, with a slight dryness.

Introducing Kate MccGwire

Kate MccGwire is a British, London-based artist with whom Royal Salute is proud to present the inaugural volume of The Art of Wonder.

MccGwire is an internationally renowned artist who sculpts primarily using feathers. She layers them together, transforming them into pieces that are at once mesmerising and majestic, powerful and formidable.

MccGwire has produced a complex and wonderfully coherent body of work that is remarkably original – completely unlike that of any other artist working today.
