When you lay a whisky down in cask that won’t be bottled
until 50 years later, it’s only natural that you take the long view.
At Royal Salute, there’s always one eye on the future,
with sustainability a key driving force behind our craft.

To preserve our Kingdom for the generations of tomorrow, we must take action today. In June 2022 we introduced a beautiful new coated glass flagon, in an important step towards a more sustainable future. 

A meticulous research and design process ensured the transition to glass flagons maintained the luxurious design, quality and taste synonymous with Royal Salute, with the crucial benefit of a 70% reduction in our packaging carbon footprint. Using a material with a less energy-intensive production process that is easily recyclable around the world reduces our impact on the environment, helping to preserve our kingdom for the future.

The introduction of this new more sustainable flagon is a crucial step in our journey to ensure all our packaging will be 100% recyclable, reusable or compostable by 2025.
